Value-Based Health Care Awards 2023
Applications are now open for the prestigious Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care Awards Program, designed to highlight the outstanding work of health services, individuals and systems in transforming healthcare for person-centred, outcome-focused, value-based healthcare.
Applicants have the opportunity to apply for one of four different awards, via a virtual poster submission:
Awarded to a project that is significantly innovative – this could be in the start-up or early phases of development, or an established project demonstrating results.
Awarded for a project that has demonstrated successful engagement across teams, sectors or disciplines for sustained improvements or scalability.
Awarded to a project that demonstrates results in reducing health inequities and improving outcomes for a priority population.
All submissions will have the opportunity to be considered for the Poster Prize.
Why Apply?
The Value-Based Health Care Awards presented by the Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care, recognise achievements in transforming the Australian system for VBHC, highlighting initiatives that redefine healthcare around the outcomes that matter to people and communities for the cost of achieving those outcomes.

- The ACVBHC Webinar Series
- The Health Advocate (AHHA's quarterly member magazine)
- On the AHHA website
How to Apply
Applicants are invited to make a submission in the form of a virtual poster, including a 250-300 word overview of their project, outlining:
- Project context, aims, and objectives
- Outcomes achieved
- Alignment with the principles of person-centred, outcome-focused, value-based healthcare
- Alignment with the chosen award category (Innovation, Transformation, Equity or Poster Prize)
- Images, links, and slides are optional additions
