Dr Stefan Larsson MD, PhD, compares and contrasts two different approaches taken by leading Swedish hospitals, sought to foster the widespread adoption of VBHC: “Big-Bang” vs Incremental. Dr Larsson identifies the risks and key success factors in each approach, and discusses the circumstances under which to choose each approach, concluding with advice on assessing organisational readiness for value-based healthcare.

DELIVERING HEALTHCARE VALUE THROUGH DIGITAL PATIENT JOURNEYS AT INTERMOUNTAIN HEALTHCARE

This seminar discusses the role of modern technologies in enabling value-based healthcare. It further examines the critical role of data and informatics in value-based healthcare, standardised patient-centric health outcomes measures, and the development of an AI prediction tool for acute kidney injury in the ICU, which is being used to reduce the incidence and consequence of renal failure.
